Keeping stores close would save more workplaces
Fewer workplaces were forced to close if stores would not open on Sunday – the trade union of commercial clerks (KASZ) claims.
SZ-president József Sáling pointed out that
keeping stores closed on Sundays would be an efficient solution to keep
more workplaces in spite of the crisis, moreover the general atmosphere
of workplaces would also be better.
Commercial firms are also looking
for ways to reduce the number of stuff members now that there has been
a significant decrease in traffic. According to the trade union it would
be possible to use existing staff numbers more ideally if the shops'
opening hours would be shorter, thus it would not be necessary to pay
a Sunday overtime-surrogate.
