Customers are fed up with low quality Easter-bunnies
Last spring, over 967 tons of seasonal Easter-candies were sold, and most of these chocolate-bunnies had been made of high-quality, at least 35% percent cocoa-content.
„In the past few years, customers of Easter-candy seem to have gone through a significant change in attitude. While years ago, cheap, low-quality chocolate-figures used to be the most popular, the trend is rather different now: in the past two years, customers have switched to the best quality available on the market” – Sándor Sánta, director of The Association of the Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers said. In the past two years, the amount of candies made of high-quality (at least 35% percent) cocoa seem to have sold better: the number have drifted from 430 tons to 546 tons, while low-quality cocoa-products have gone from 411 to 372 tons.
