Discounted food prices will remain in Lidl for the benefit of customers
Discounted prices and promotions will continue to be available in Lidl Hungary stores. Although according to the decision of the Ministry of National Economy, domestic supermarket chains are no longer officially obliged to apply price discounts from July 1, the market-leading retail supermarket chain continues to “freeze” prices and reduces the price of another 100 products as part of its long-term price reduction program. It is extremely important for the company to offer food products – including products from Hungarian producers and suppliers as well as own-brand products – at the best possible price to its customers.
Lidl continues its discount policy and although the mandatory promotions have ended, the number of discount products will not decrease in the future at the discount chain. The company constantly monitors the customer’s needs and in each case reacts to it and decides which goods the customers can get cheaper from week to week. In addition, the already well-known permanent price reduction program will remain, thanks to which in May 2024, 700 products were already permanently cheaper compared to a year ago. In addition, another 100 products will be permanently discounted, including cold meats, fresh meats, baked goods, milk and dairy products, coffees, grilled products, chocolates and wafers. For example, the price of Házánk Kincsei noble mold salami, Dulano light Vienna hot dogs, classic ciabatta, strawberry donuts, or Alesto’s student treats is reduced. The price reduction can reach up to 33%.
In addition to permanently low prices and promotions that renew every week, the supermarket chain offers even more promotions as part of the Lidl Plus loyalty program. For users, the discounts included in various offers are automatically deducted at checkout, while a significant amount can also be saved by activating individual coupons.
