Digital solutions were in the limelight at the Marketing at Retail Show in Paris. The event is held every second year and this was the seventh time that POPAI Awards competition accompanied the show. 90 POP manufacturers entered the competition with more than 300 products. The 140 jury members evaluated the 50 categories in 10 groups and the official award ceremony will be announced at a gala dinner in June. The Hungarian delegation was really impressed by Cameleon Group’s modular rotating display that can present several brands at a time. Others were stunned by the ice tea promotion cabinet with the dancing-music playing fruit figures. Coca-Cola and Carrefour came with a joint recycling promotion, which was resented on recycled carton. Digital POP tools were given extra emphasis, and lighting and scent marketing solutions were also introduced.
