Danone expects worse-than-expected results, but increasing revenues
This year Danone expects worse-than-expected results due to the euro zone crisis and due to the increase in the price of raw materials.
According to the Tuesday communication of the French food group, demand reduced worse-than-expected in the southern European countries, mainly in Spain.
Danone did not change its expectations for revenue. The company expects a 5-7 percent grow, compared to last year’s 2.8 billion euros, because the robust demand in Asia, America, Africa and in the Middle East is enough to counteract the weakness of the Western European market.
