Consumer confidence in the United States deteriorated more than expected in September
Consumer confidence in the United States decreased in September, much more than analysts had expected.
The Conference Board Economic Research Institute said on Tuesday that the consumer confidence index fell from 134.2 points in August to 125.1 points in September.
Analysts expected a minimal deterioration of 134.1 points from September.
One year ago the index was still at 138.4 points. Since then, the rate has been lower, the lowest in January; 120.2 points. (MTI)
