Inflation in the United States was higher than expected in December
In December, the annual rate of increase in consumer prices in the United States was higher than expected, but last year’s full-year average price increase was lower than in 2019, the lowest in five years and lower than the ten-year average – according to the report of Bureau of Labor Statistics, published on Wednesday.
In December, consumer prices increased by 0.4 percent, in line with market expectations, seasonally adjusted, following a monthly increase of 0.2 percent in November. (MTI)
