The sunflower honey yield will be less than expected in Szabolcs County

The sunflower honey yield will be less than expected in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, where the weather made totally impossible the acacia honey collection during the spring – the regional adviser of the Hungarian National Beekeeping Association (OMME) told MTI on Monday.

Kovács Csaba told that the soil conditions in the region allow adequate quality sunflower cultivation at only a few places, moreover less nectar was produced on the flower-plates, due to the heat of July. (MTI)
