Euro area GDP grew less than expected
Euro area’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew less than expected in the fourth quarter, compared with the previous three months.
The European Union’s Bureau of Statistics (Eurostat) first released estimates on Friday that the euro area grew by 0.1 percent in the three-month period ending December, compared with the previous quarter. GDP growth in the EU as a whole was 0.1 percent. (MTI)
