Consumer sentiment improved less than expected in the United States in May
Consumer sentiment in the United States has improved less than expected in May, according to the regular monthly survey of the Michigan University.
According to the final data published on Friday, the indicator increased to 100 points from the 97.2 points of April. Analysts expected 101.5 points. The preliminary data reported in mid-May was higher, 102.4 points, the strongest since January 2004.
The sub-index reflecting the current situation decreased from 112.3 points to 110 points. (MTI)
