The U.S. economy is performing better than expected in June
As in May, the U.S. economy performed better than expected in June, according to a survey by the London-based financial and economic data provider IHS Markit.
As more and more U.S. private companies restarted in parallel with the coronavirus pandemic, the rate of decline in production continued to slow, new orders were negligible, and the number of employees declined modestly. For the first time since February, both input and output prices have risen, and confidence in the future has risen to a four-month high. (MTI)
