German retail sales grew faster than expected
According to preliminary data released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics (Destatis) on Monday, retail trade sales grew by 2.1 percent in real terms and by 2.1 percent on nominal value in November, compared to the previous month, according to calendar and seasonal adjustments.
Analysts expected retail sales to increase by 1.0 percent after adjusting price effects, after a 1.9 percent decline in October. (MTI)
