Lower than expected inflation in June
According to the experts, interviewed by MTI; inflation in June was significantly lower-than-expected. They believe that seasonal food and fuel prices brought down the prices.
According to the Central Statistical Office; consumer prices in June fell by 0.2 percent, compared to the previous month and were 3.5 percent above the level of a year earlier.
Hungarian and British analysts expected a 3.8 percent annual inflation. The annual inflation rate in June was not only lower than expected, but significantly slowed down, compared to the 3.9 percent of May and was the lowest since April 2009 – reports MTI.
