China’s exports grew in July in excess of expectations
China’s exports increased in July, far exceeding expectations, but imports declined.
According to data released by the Chinese customs service on Friday, the dollar-denominated value of exports rose 7.2 percent year-on-year in July. Analysts expected a 0.2 percent shrink, following a 0.5 percent increase in June. July is the strongest figure for this year, most recently measuring a higher pace of 7.6 percent last December. (MTI)
