China’s exports rose again in August, exceeding expectations again
China’s exports grew in excess of expectations again in August, but the decline in imports deepened further.
According to data released by the Chinese customs service on Monday, the value of exports in dollars increased by 9.5 percent year-on-year in August. Analysts expected growth of 7.1 percent following a 7.2 percent gain in July. The expansion of Chinese exports thus broke almost a one and a half year record. A higher growth rate of 14.2 percent was measured the last time in March last year. (MTI)
