Despite expectations, China’s foreign trade turnover increased in June
Contrary to the expectations, both Chinese exports and imports expanded in June as austerity measures taken due to the coronavirus pandemic were eased in more and more countries.
According to data released by the Chinese customs service on Tuesday, the dollar-denominated value of exports rose 0.5 percent year-on-year in June. Analysts expected a 1.5 percent decline after Chinese exports shrank 3.3 percent in May due to the effects of the pandemic. (MTI)
