SPAR will not construct a new meat plant, because of the crisis-tax
The building of the second meat plant was removed from the schedule, due to the introduction of the crisis-tax, though the plant of Bicske transports Hungarian pork to the Czech Republic in a value of 4 billion HUF this year.
Since the company had no money to pay the 6 billion HUF special tax, the Austrian owner has agreed to pay 20 million euros to the Hungarian budget in the next three years.
Feiner Péter, Hungarian SPAR leader objects the crisis tax for many reasons. Inter alia because the tax hits the retail sector instead of the profitable wholesale sector. The tax was paid by the Austrian parent company, that will consider whether it is worth to invest – reports Világgazdaság Online.
