Revenue from venison exceeded 5 billion HUF
The venison is a “renewable resource,” and also a healthy food, however, high-quality venison can only come from conscious, professional game management – Kardeván Endre, national chief veterinarian said at a professional conference in Budapest.
The Minister of State of the Ministry of Rural Development (VM) responsible for Food Chain Safety and Agri-management spoke at a venison health forum, held at the Veterinary Science Faculty of the Szent István University. He added that the venison is low in fat at the same time it is rich in carbohydrates, protein, minerals and vitamin, so it is in line with the modern consumer demands. (MTI)
