The importance of tourism was discussed in Madrid
In the current stressful political situation more effective and closer cooperation is needed to exploit the potential of tourism – Ujhelyi István MEP stressed in his communication issued on Friday in connection with the UNWTO conference in Madrid.
At the conference, Taleb Rifai Secretary-General of the UN World tourism organization (UNWTO) pointed out that due to the global challenges, and the recent terrorist attacks it is important to think about how the tourism industry can maintain the possibility of a safe and smooth journey to reach further progress.
