The habitat survey to be extended to the entire Tokaj wine region
On the basis of the agreement of the Tokai Wine Region Mountain Village Council and the Tokaj Trading House Plc., the habitat survey to be extended to the total area of the historic Tokaj wine region – the company told MTI on Friday.
According to the communication, thesatas from the survey will help the development of grape cultivation methods, as well as the renewal of the plantations.
All the wine growers of the region will receive detailed information about their lands and plantations, so each wine growers can decide on the basis of reasonable grounds what kind of “wine material” to be strived to produce in years with dry, average or wetter than normal weather conditions.
Under the agreement, the Tokaj Trading House undertakes to carry out an examination of the vineyards at their own expense, involving professionals with the necessary qualifications. (MTI)
