The labor loan portfolio is approaching the ten billion mark

Many thousands of people have applied for workers’ loans from K&H this year, and the disbursements are already in the thousands, the financial institution announced. In the case of workers’ loans with a preferential interest rate, the lowest amount that can be applied for is 500 thousand forints. Employees and entrepreneurs with a net income of 200 thousand forints can start applying.

Workers’ loans, which are available at a preferential interest rate thanks to state support, quickly became popular with those affected. Several thousand applications were received by K&H for the loan introduced this year, and the number of disbursements is also gradually increasing, also in the thousands.

On the way to 10 billion

“When we introduced the worker’s loan in January, we experienced very strong demand, which continued in February and then stabilized at a slightly lower level in March. Overall, our worker’s loan portfolio exceeded 7 billion forints in March, which clearly shows that it is popular with customers. This is understandable, since you can apply for up to 4 million forints interest-free, for a term of 2-10 years,”

said Tamás Rácz, head of retail lending at K&H.

According to central bank data, Hungarian banks concluded almost 10 thousand worker’s loan contracts in the first two months of the year, and the loan amount associated with them was close to 40 billion forints.

How much is the monthly repayment?

Another advantage of the worker’s loan is that there are no loan assessment and disbursement fees. In addition, the borrower is entitled to a repayment suspension depending on the number of children to be born, and upon the arrival of the second child, half of the principal debt is forgiven, and for the third child, the state assumes the entire debt.
