Tesco, CBA and Coop are the most successful
Tesco, CBA and Coop have ended up on the top of Nielsen's 2008 list of the greatest grocery and general merchandising retail chains.
Nielsen has also pointed out that CBA on the 2nd place with its 3038 units, Coop on the 3rd place with its 5250, and then Reál on the 5rd place with its 2310 stores together mean over 10 thousand shops which covers more than 50 percent of the Hungarian market. The success of these three retail chains is more than rare in Central-Europe, local chains do not usually get too reach such high popularity and success.
