Tesco supports the programs chosen by customers with HUF 42 million
In the 11th round of Tesco’s “You choose, we help” competition, more than 2.1 million votes were received from customers. Depending on the number of votes, the company will again this year contribute 400, 200, and 100,000 forints to the implementation of a total of 169 tenders supporting the local community, and reward the four most creative initiatives with an additional 475,000 forints each. In this way, Tesco is contributing a total of HUF 42 million to the implementation of important programs for its customers and employees living in the vicinity of its stores.

Initiatives supporting education and skill development, encouraging a healthy lifestyle, and protecting and beautifying the environment came from 58 districts
In Tesco’s “You choose, we help” tender program, customers decide which programs the supermarket chain will support in their area. In the voting period from July 11 to August 7, among other things, for animal-assisted therapy for psychiatric patients, for the modernization of a building reserved for families in crisis, for the creation of an online interface presenting the services of businesses in the area, local landmarks and programs, for a video series conveying the busy life of a small village’s hen yard , as well as the creation of an adoption community, Tesco customers could also vote. More than 2.1 million tokens were thrown into the collectors in the department stores, the most votes were cast in the Tesco Extra hypermarket in Szeged.
Based on the number of tokens, the company distributes HUF 42 million in support among 169 applicant organizations, with separate awards being given to the Mátészalkaleaks informal group in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County, the Segíts Rajtam Foundation in Tolna County, the Fatima Ház Foundation in Csongrád-Csanád County, and Budapest the initiative of the 14th district Zugrádió Association for their creativity and innovative approach.
