Farmers’ markets offer customers not only high-quality food and an experience
There are more than 300 local farmers’ markets in our country, where customers can access high-quality, fresh, seasonal domestic food directly from the producer. Farmers’ markets are one of the most fundamental players in the short supply chain, facilitating the delivery of basic products produced by small producers and the food produced from them to consumers, and with packaging-free products, they contribute to general sustainability efforts.

In 2012, the government introduced the concept of local farmers’ markets to stimulate local economies, where small producers sell their agricultural and food products from their own farms. The strengthening of demand for local products develops the local economy, supports producers, and also leads to sustainability from an environmental, social and economic perspective.
According to the National Chamber of Agriculture, there are a total of 314 local farmers’ markets operating in the country this year
In an increasingly fast-paced and hectic world, there is often no time to follow the journey of vegetables and fruits from the farm to the table, but with this form of shopping, the consumer can join the process in a good place: they can choose, touch and even taste the product. Thus, farmers’ markets embody the most basic form of direct sales, where the producer and the consumer meet in person. The established relationship and the prioritization of the use of packaging-free products encourage the development of a more sustainable consumer attitude and contribute to general sustainability efforts.
Going to a local farmers’ market is now not just about purchasing food, but also a program
In addition to the fact that the customer can get the easiest way to get locally produced, fresh vegetables and fruits here, they can also hear from the producer about the production method and the economy. By choosing from the beautiful products of reliable and enthusiastic producers, the customer can be satisfied because he knows where the goods come from. Nowadays, the portfolios of farmers’ markets are also increasingly diverse, but one thing is certain: homemade delicacies and artisanal foods from small producers, such as honey, bakery and dairy products, fresh vegetables and fruits, jams, as well as homemade pickles and other seasonal products, are always represented. The products of farmers’ markets are usually not only famous for being fresh and delicious, but also for being high-quality and unique. Market shopping is a way of life that encourages consumers to try and buy a wide variety of products, who can choose from a range of ingredients that provide a new gastronomic experience and additive-free foods.
