Product placement will increase the revenues of TV channels
The media act allows product placement from January in a number of television programs, so – despite the fact, that the channels must warn the viewers – it will be more difficult to avoid the ads during the consumption of ones favorite show. The legislative amendment may give the channels new revenues.
The channels should draw the attention of the viewers on the product placements with an optical or acoustic method in the TV program. For example, the RTL Klub used a subtitle in the lower-left corner of the screen in its Való Világ (Real World) reality show – reports hvg.hu.
