LG partners with Tenstorrent to develop AI solutions
LG Electronics (LG) and Tenstorrent announced that they have expanded their collaboration to develop SoCs (System-on-Chips) for the global market. Through the partnership, LG aims to further expand its capabilities in the design and development of AI chips for its products and services. The company is committed to driving AI-based innovations, particularly in the areas of home appliances, smart home solutions, and future mobility and commerce.
With high-performance AI semiconductors playing a key role in the advancement of AI technology, LG is further expanding its in-house development capabilities while collaborating with leading global companies, including Tenstorrent, to strengthen the competitiveness of its AI-enabled systems.
Tenstorrent is known for its world-class high-performance computing (HPC) semiconductors based on its RISC-V1-based Ascalon architecture and Tensix AI processor IP. Their IP is designed to scale from milliwatts to megawatts, delivering exceptional efficiency and performance across any device.
LG is committed to developing AI-related software and algorithm technologies to provide its customers with the highest quality generative AI-based products, platforms and services. This includes the development of AI-enabled chips.
