Tej Terméktanács once again celebrates World Milk Day with a nationwide prize draw
Due to the versatility and nutritious properties of dairy products, we have been celebrating World Milk Day every year for 49 years*. The celebration of milk and dairy products cannot be missed this year either, so the organization is challenging the country to an online goal-scoring championship called “Milk Goal Championship” on the occasion of World Day. The national prize draw, which takes place between May 30 and June 6, will be implemented in the online space with a number of colorful programs and well-known personalities. *(World Milk Day has been celebrated in Hungary since 1976, previously on the last Tuesday of May, while since 2001 June 1 is officially World Milk Day.)
Milk contains essential nutrients for the body: proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals. Half a liter of milk covers 12-15% of the recommended daily energy intake for adults, 20-25% of protein, 15-20% of fat, 7-10% of carbohydrates, and 70% of calcium needs. % of it is rich in minerals, including potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, as well as water- and fat-soluble vitamins.
Due to their beneficial physiological effects, milk and milk products are also important foods for health preservation and disease prevention. Their regular consumption supports the immune system and can play a role in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, colon cancer, high blood pressure, obesity, osteoporosis and tooth decay.
We can include milk and milk products made from it as part of every meal in our diet. Milk is an integral part of our diet both as a drink and as a component of food (milkshakes, soups, sauces, main courses, desserts).
