Far less grain grown in Ukraine compared to last year
Ukraine grain harvest of this year is expected to be less, than in last year. In 2008 53.3 million tonnes grew, but only 47 million tonnes expected this year.
According to the published datas of the Ukrainian Agricultural Association; around 10 million tonnes of corn will be at the end of the harvest season. Ukraine will be able to export 20-21 million tonnes of grain in the 2009/2010 season – reports MTI.
