The dairy industry expect bankruptcies after a controversial year
If theVAT rate of dairy products will not be reduced below 10 percent in time, than the dairies expect mass bankruptcies – Mélykúti Tibor, Co-Chairman of the Milk Marketing Board Interprofessional Organization at Tuesday's press conference.
The unprecedentedly high tax burden is further increased by the introduction of electronic toll fee, because milk must be transported over long distances. The government negotiations have not been completed yet, but according to the informations of the Milk Marketing Board, the political decision in connection with the VAT decrease has been born. Last year was marked by price fluctuation because the purchase price of milk per liter was between 65 and 115 HUF. (by our colleague)
