The confectionery market expects the same turnover as in 2013
The turnover of the Hungarian confectionery market last year was a little more than 180 billion HUF. The market players expect a similar amount this year is for the industry – Sánta Sándor, teh president of the Hungarian Confectionery Manufacturers Association told MTI.
He added that in certain segments such in the case of pralines and chocolate bars they have experienced a significant – about 10 and 7 percent growth.
He reminded that during the crisis, the dessert market collapsed, due to the effects of the world economic crisis and the introduction of the public health product tax (NETA). (MTI)
