The excise guarantee of alcohol distributors may remain on last year's level
The Prime Minister’s Office does not agree with any of the excise rate increase proposals of Gulyás Gergely (Fidesz) nor the Ministry of National Economy (NGM), therefore initiates amendments that restore the rate of excise to its 1 January 2014 level.
The Prime Minister's Office, led by Lázár János sent MTI a short notice on the matter on Tuesday. Last November the parliament decided to increase the rate of excise security on alcohol products, (beer, wine, champagne, as well as intermediate products) from 22 million to 150 million HUF.
