NAK’s rural economic advisors also prepare farm development applications free of charge
The National Chamber of Agriculture has further expanded its range of services. In addition to the call for proposals to encourage small farms, young farmers and farm transfers, NAK’s rural economic advisors also provide assistance with farm development applications. This brings the number of calls where members can use NAK’s free service instead of expensive application writers to four.
The call for proposals entitled “Support for rural infrastructure developments on farms” has been published, and applications for support can be submitted from September 4, 2025. The budget of the scheme is 15 billion forints, which can be used to develop farms, modernise infrastructure and improve housing conditions. The main target areas of the call for applications include ensuring the supply of electricity and drinking water to farms, developing wastewater treatment, and encouraging the use of renewable energy sources, such as solar panels.
These investments offer long-term sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions for those affected
The application is intended for private individuals who have lived on the farm affected by the development for at least six months prior to submission and whose place of residence or residence was also registered there. The amount of support that can be applied for is a maximum of HUF 13 million for investments serving drinking water supply, and a maximum of HUF 12 million for other activities. If the applicant submits an application for an additional type of activity in addition to the development aimed at drinking water supply, the amount of support that can be obtained can reach HUF 25 million. The support intensity can be 80 percent for developments aimed at the use of renewable energy, and 95 percent for all other activities.
The implementation of the investments is also supported by a 25 percent advance, which can be requested without proof of self-funding
Two years are available for the implementation of the investments from the date the support document becomes final. In order to ensure that as many farms as possible can be renewed, the village economist advisors of the National Chamber of Agriculture and Food undertake to prepare and submit the applications for the membership. In the case of winning applications, the NAK also provides assistance to the applicants in the administration of payment requests and in the administration of project closure. The NAK’s free application writing service is now available for a total of four applications: investment support for small agricultural enterprises, start-up support for young farmers, application to assist with farm transfer and application for farm development. The National Chamber of Agriculture and Food encourages all interested parties to visit their village economist and use the application advice. It is important to note that not all village economists are involved in writing applications, but there are village economists in every county who prepare and submit applications. The free service is therefore available in every county in the country, but can only be used by members of the chamber.
