Nearly half of the social shops closed in the last two years
It looks like the model of social shops not working well in Hungary. A little more than half of the social shops have survived.
The original goal of the shops set up by MAGOSZ was to provide market directly to the Hungarian producers and therefore the consumers could buy Hungarian products cheaper. According to unanimous opinions; the biggest problem of the concept is that there are not enough producers around the shops, and sometimes the quality is also a problem. Also plays a role that it is very difficult to compete with the multinational chain of stores – reports Pénzcentrum.hu, after delmagyar.hu.
