Slovenia’s GDP grew 8.1 percent last year
Slovenia’s gross domestic product (GDP) grew 8.1 percent last year, the Slovenian statistical office said on Monday, according to its first flash estimate. As a result of measures taken to curb the pandemic, the economic downturn was 4.2 percent in 2020 as a whole.
According to the report, the increase in consumer spending was the main contributor to last year’s economic expansion.
According to seasonally and calendar-adjusted data, GDP grew 5.4 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter. (Kriják Krisztina, MTI)
