Employees are responsible for a significant portion of shopliftings
Among the European Union (EU) member countries, Slovakian store employees steal the most – Slovak Hospodárské Noviny newspaper wrote on Wednesday referring to the datas of a survey.
According to the joint study of Euler Hermes credit insurer and Pracodawci Polish Employers’ Association, Slovak store employees are on the second on the list, behind Russia in Europe, in terms of employee shopliftings, but in the EU they are on the first place.
36.7 percent of the total value of the stolen goods in retail is stolen by employees in Russia followed by Slovakia in the second place with 36.5 percent. The employees steal the least in Austria among the EU Member States (23 percent). (MTI)
