The Sziget Festival and the Balaton Sound are also participating in the competition of European festivals

After last year’s success, the Sziget Festival is once again competes for the Europe's best major festival title at the public vote of the European Festival Awards, where this time one can vote to the Heineken Balaton Sound as well in the category of medium-sized festivals.

The Sziget Festival competes with 38 other European festivals, including the Exit of Serbia, the Hurricane of Germany, the Roskilde of Denmark, the Rock Werchter of Belgium or the Oxegen of Ireland. The Balaton Sound competes with almost 80 other medium-sized festivals, including Germany’s Mayday and Slovakia’s Pohoda.

The vote lasts until 7 November at the http://eu.festivalawards.com/vote site – the press office of the Sziget Festival told MTI on Tuesday.   (MTI)
