The Sziget Festival is the best festival in Europe

The Sziget Festival became the best among the twenty-five largest festivals of Europethe best, the Hungarian Sziget Festival received the first prize at the European Festival Awards – told Gerendai Károly, the Sziget Festival’s founder and chief organizer to  MTI on Thursday night after the award ceremony.

The awards ceremony, which is also one the largest trade event of the international festival profession was held late Wednesday night in Groningen, the Netherlands. “It is so incredible to me that we could overtook such festivals than the Danish Roskilde, the German Hurricane, the T In The Park of Scotland and the Belgian Tomorrowland festivals, that I even did not travel to the gala” – he added – reports MTI.
