Serbian authorities learn about Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed in Hungary
The Ministry of Rural Development has held an international seminar for the experts of Serbian authorities on RASFF – Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed. The foreign ministers of Hungary and Serbia have agreed in 2010 that Hungary is going to support the EU-integration of our Southern neighbour, so the seminar in Budapest had been organized within the compass of the above-mentioned support.
The Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) was put in place to provide food and feed control authorities with an effective tool to exchange information about measures taken responding to serious risks detected in relation to food or feed. This exchange of information helps Member States to act more rapidly and in a coordinated manner in response to a health threat caused by food or feed.
