The Mészáros Winery of Szekszárd won the Winemaker of the Year title
The Mészáros Winery of Szekszárd became the Winemaker of the Year in Hungary this year. The traveling prize, the medal, and the diploma was handed over by the leaders of the award’s founding organizations to Mészáros Pál, leader of the family business at the Mészáros Winery on Thursday.
Mészáros Pál has been engaged in viticulture and in wine-making for decades. After the system change the area of his vineyards increased over 10 hectares and now the winery is farming on more than a hundred hectares and buys an additional 40-50 hectares of crops. Every year the family owned business processes 10 thousand tons of grapes and produces 7-8 thousand hectoliters of wine. (MTI)
