Tourism in Szeklerland fell less than the average in Romania and Transylvania due to the pandemic
According to an analysis published on Monday by the statistical portal Erdélystat.ro, tourism in Szeklerland fell less than the Romanian and Transylvanian averages due to the pandemic last winter season.
Summarizing the preliminary data published by the county statistical offices, the portal found that in the winter tourist season between November 2020 and April 2021, the decline was 27.8 percent in terms of guest arrivals and 33.1 percent in terms of guest nights, compared to the same period last year. In Transylvania, on the other hand, the numbers fell by only 24.1 and 28.4 percent, respectively. (Gazda Árpád, MTI)
