The basic foods are still very expensive in the developing countries, despite the fact that the recent decrease in international market prices, and the crop forecasts are good this year – states UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). In many countries prices have been stuck on the record level of the year earlier, or in some cases exceed it.
In Hungary in June prices were 3.7 percent higher than a year ago Food products increased by 5.9 percent – reports Népszabadság Online.
