Swiss chocolate is still popular
Switzerland remains a major consumer of chocolate and chocolate-exporter The total turnover of Swiss chocolates increased by 9.3 percent, exports increased by 11 percent in 2008.
According to Chocosuisse, which compresses 18 main manufacturers of the the Alpine country; last year an average of 12.4 kilograms chocolate per person was consumed in Switzerland. This was a 100 gram increase compared to previous year's data.
Nearly 60 percent of of chocolate consumption went to export. Swiss chocolate was consumed in 140 countries all over the world – reports Világgazdaság.
