Many people think street food developed in the modern age but it has existed for centuries. It is a very popular style of eating nowadays, and people can have wide range of high quality dishes this way. In most street food joints only a few guests can sit down, guests tend to eat what they buy on the go. The ‘evening gyros’ will never go out of fashion, but there are many other dishes available, from Russian specialties to pho soup to Hungarian-style fried sausage. Let me add that the vegan line is getting stronger year after year.
METRO’s team is working hard to offer a large selection of street food ingredients to partners, both in stores and delivered to their door. We sell everything, from processed meats to ready-to-use vegetables to professional cooking ingredients sold under the METRO Chef brand name.
At our Gastro Academy partners can learn about the latest technologies and guest needs. Our HACCP planning assistance is available to everyone on our website and on demand we also offer personal consultation. This year METRO launched its website making service to help restaurant owners establish their online presence.
In Hungary this isn’t simply a business decision, but also a way to shape the taste of guests These top chefs are trying to show that it is beneficial to eat food made from quality ingredients, made available at relatively low prices. More and more programmes are organised by the Food Truck Association and these are very popular as well.In the long run food tracks will make great contribution to improving the quality of Hungary’s culinary sector.
