SPAR collected more than 40 tons of electric litter

As an environmentally aware and responsible retailer, based in local communities across the UK, SPAR listens to their customers, and the government, and is working to help protect our environment.

INTERSPAR in the past 8 months has collected more than 40 tons of electric litter in order to recycle them. SPAR has introduced battery recycling collection containers in store this year: anyone can bring their ring used batteries to the store and can be sure they will be safely disposed of, with minimum impact on the environment.
