Beer in Russia has been classified as alcoholic beverages instead of food

Beer consumption is getting increasingly popular in Russia, while the beer has been included in the food category until now.

After the legislative amendment will came into force, the authority can control the beer trading businesses easier, and also the government can restrict the trade of beer easier.
The law is already signed by president Dmitry Medvedev – writes origo.hu, after BBC.
