The Somlói revolúció became the Cake of Hungary
Damniczki Balázs confectioner from Székesfehérvár won the competition of the Hungarian Confectioner Industry Board with his cake called Somlói revolúció (Somlói revolution). The red wine raspberry flavored ice cream of the young confectioner became the Ice Cream of the Year 2013 as well.

The Cake of Hungary, the birthday cake of Hungary will be presented in the capital during the 20th August celebrations and in nearly 150 patisseries in the country.
According to Auguszt E. József confectioner and member of the jury, the Somlói revolúció (Somlói revolution) cake is really revolutionary, because although its is working basically with the taste of the Somlói dumplings, neither outside nor the inside is not reminiscent of the Hungarian delicacy.
