Natural disasters have caused less than average annual damage in the first half of the year – according to a survey released on Tuesday.
The world’s largest reinsurer, the German Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft (Munich Re), recorded 370 natural disasters in the first six months of this year. It is estimated that they caused 42 billion USD (12,300 billion HUF) national economy damage, well below the 69 billion USD average of the past 30 years. (MTI)
