The essence of Slow Food
Though we have heard a lot about Slow Food in recent years, probably no-one has yet explained to us what this term stands for. The basic principles: 1. Eating is a joyful event, to be enjoyed with our friend or family; 2. Foods should be consumed in their appropriate seasons; 3. A relationship exists between the maker and the consumer of food; 4. The diversity of food and ingredients should be protected and promoted.; 5. Small-scale production of food is important and should be supported.
