This year, Shell Hungary draws attention to the diverse roles of women

The life of modern women today requires more than just balancing two roles. In addition to work and private life tasks, they now have to cope with countless situations every day: as a professional, a leader, a mother, a friend, an organizer – and even a driver. The roles are constantly changing, but they all have one thing in common: they all require attention, energy and dedication.
This year, Shell Hungary is drawing attention to the versatility of women’s roles and the inner strength essential for successfully fulfilling them. The central message of the campaign – “Shining in every role!” – for those who consistently and persistently perform multiple roles every day.However, among the many roles, those stable points that support women’s everyday performance are also important, whether it’s completing daily tasks or drinking a delicious cup of coffee. Data on the decisions and choices of female customers participating in the Shell ClubSmart loyalty program also clearly reflect the role of awareness and independence in everyday life.
A moment of self-care on the occasion of Women’s Day
As part of Shell’s Women’s Day initiative, on March 8, 2026, female customers who visit Shell gas stations will receive 250 ClubSmart points with their purchase. The points can be redeemed immediately for a refreshing coffee from the Shell Café range, or there is also the option of making a charitable donation to one of the organizations supported by Shell: the Gézengúz Foundation, the SOS Children’s Villages or the Peter Cerny Foundation. The offer is available to both private and business customers.
The experiences of the Shell ClubSmart loyalty program show that registered female customers make conscious decisions: they prefer to choose premium category fuels, almost as many female customers choose the Shell V-Power Racing product line as men. And the minutes spent at gas stations are often not only about refueling. The most popular product among regular female customers is the hot dog – within that, the plain one leads the gourmet ranking, followed by the cheese version. Among hot drinks, coffees are the most consumed products: women prefer cappuccino the most, espresso is only the second most popular drink among women with ClubSmart membership.
A sure point among changing roles
In the rhythm of everyday life, women’s roles often change in rapid succession. The morning rush is often followed by an important meeting, but a long journey requires a completely different level of attention and presence compared to family chores. A filling station is not just a technical stop, but a short, conscious break between tasks – a place where you can re-plan, think about the next step, or simply recharge.
However, behind everyday decisions there are real stories. Since the diversity of female roles is the focus of the campaign, Shell presents several different life paths: stories of women who, in different life situations and careers, nevertheless move forward with similar inner strength and awareness.
Stories from behind the wheel
The three women featured create and lead in different fields: some travel across several countries every day, some manage companies, and some shape business processes with strategic decisions. Although their careers are different, they all prove themselves in situations where responsibility, awareness, and consistency are essential.
Szilvia – a professional driver with several continents behind her
Szilvia has been working as an international truck driver for nine years. She drives about 120,000 kilometers a year, choosing her profession as a result of a conscious decision. For her, driving is not just a job, but a way of life that means independence and continuous learning.
“As a child, my dream was to travel the world in a caravan – in the end, it partially came true, only with a slightly larger vehicle. For me, driving is not only work, but also freedom and responsibility at the same time. Many people are surprised when they see a 50-kilo blonde girl at the wheel of a 40-ton train, but for me it is completely natural. I think that behind the wheel, it is not who is sitting there that matters, but how she does her job. I would like to tell every woman to dare to choose her own path – even if it seems unusual at first. Happy Women’s Day!”
