The honeydew melon was harvested before the watermelon

The domestic green flesh honeydew melon is available at the markets. As in previous years it has a higher producer price than the yellow honeydew melon – the Agricultural Economics Research Institute states in its market report. The two types were sold for 235 HUF / kg and 310 HUF / kg on the 26th week.

The watermelon lovers should eat imports for a while. The cheap Hungarian watermelon arrives in the second part of July. A bountiful harvest is expected this year on the more than five thousand hectares of watermelon producing area. The Ministry of Rural Development has also joined to the domestic promoting of the fruit.  (by our colleague)
